Mr. Ksankupar Khongstit is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Shillong, where he joined in 2021. He has expertise in consumer behaviour, marketing research, organisational behaviour, textile technology, and branding. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fashion management and actively contributes to academic development, industry engagement, and institutional initiatives. He brings extensive professional experience from both the government and industry sectors. Mr. Ksankupar Khongstit research interests lie at the intersection of consumer behaviour, branding, and strategic management within the textile and fashion industry. He coordinated the Advanced Management Development Programme, aimed at enhancing managerial and leadership capabilities among participants, and continues to contribute to curriculum development and knowledge dissemination in areas of strategic relevance to the sector. Beyond academics, Mr. Khongstit actively mentors students and organizes industry interactions, workshops, development programmes, and outreach activities. Mr. Ksankupar Khongstit serves as Craft Initiative Coordinator for the NIFT Shillong campus, engaging with the developmental needs of traditional crafts across North East India. Drawing on his earlier experience with the DC Handicrafts office, he works closely with artisan communities, supporting the preservation, promotion, and sustainable growth of the region's craft heritage.
