Amardeep Rabha is an Associate Professor of Fashion Design and specializes in Fashion Illustration, Design Process, and Portfolio Development, with extensive experience in the fashion industry and design education. He teaches undergraduate students and guides them in developing creative thinking, visual communication, and professional design portfolios. His expertise includes fashion sketching, technical illustration, concept development, and the integration of digital tools into design education.

His research interests include indigenous design, sustainable fashion, graphic design, and the application of artificial intelligence in fashion and design. His research focuses on studying traditional motifs of indigenous communities while exploring innovative approaches to sustainable design. He has presented and published research at national forums and actively contributes to interdisciplinary academic collaborations. He has submitted his PhD thesis to the Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, where his research examines indigenous textile motifs and sustainable design practices.

Beyond academics, he is passionate about graphics, AI-assisted design workflows, and visual storytelling. He served as Campus Academic Coordinator (CAC) under Academic Affairs, Centre Coordinator (CC) for the Fashion Design Department, and Regional Industry Coordinator(RIC) for the NIFT Shillong campus. He enjoys mentoring aspiring designers, conducting workshops, and promoting sustainable fashion, cultural preservation, and creative innovation through design education.
