Ms. Sapna Kushwaha is a distinguished alumna of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) bringing more than 15 + years of comprehensive experience spanning industry, academia, and research in the field of textiles. Her professional journey reflects a dynamic blend of technical and academic excellence, with vast experience in fabric manufacturing, dyeing, printing, quality evaluation of textiles, and garment manufacturing sectors. Served as a corporate trainer in the textile industry, contributed to product innovation, and development in the textile sector, where she has provided expert input to advance skill development and process optimization. She holds esteemed academic positions in various reputed institutions. She was actively involved in the establishment of Textile Testing and Textile Chemical Processing Laboratories at various institutions, contributing to infrastructure development for quality education and research. Served as textile technical expert for projects undertaken by government and non-government bodies. Ms. Kushwaha has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, enhancing her professional network and equipping with knowledge in emerging trends in textile technology. She has also guided several undergraduate research projects on the development of functional finish garments and case studies on enhancing garment manufacturing productivity at the industry level. As associated with NIFT since 2021 as an assistant professor, contributed to khadi kaamgaar weaving projects, which helped in developing the insight of using contemporary colour scheme and design development using table and handlooms. She aims to promote experiential learning, aiming for a holistic learning approach for the stakeholders of NIFT as well as other institutions and organizations.
