Sridhar Amanchy is an Associate Professor with the Department of Knitwear Design at NIFT Chennai Campus. He is a Proud Alumnus from the First Batch of Knitwear Design & Technology from NIFT Chennai in 2002. His Practice as Faculty focuses on orienting the young minds to multi-disciplinary approach of Fashion & Designers. Holding a Masters of Design from NIFT and with an Industrial Work Experience for 7+ Years, Sridhar’s 17+ year long journey as Academician culminates the theoretical learning to practical methodology, giving the students a hands-on exposure and precision in Class Projects & beyond. He has been invited as Judge/ Jury Member for various Fashion Shows & other Fashion Seminars to deliver Lectures. A thorough believer in imparting holistic style to Design Education, he initiates pep Talks, Lectures, Workshops, Seminars, Classroom Projects to benefit the Student community for a fresh interactive outlook. Design Consultancy, Uniform Projects, Prospectus Layout Design & Graphic Design, Innovative Documentation are some of the commitments he has been involved as Mentor & Coordinator. He has published various articles and Research Papers in National and International Conferences
