Mr. Rimanshu Patel is an Assistant Professor and Campus Coordinator in the Department of Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Raebareli. He holds a Postgraduate degree in Fashion Design from Istituto Marangoni (Manchester Metropolitan University), London, specializing in Womenswear Design. His teaching and professional expertise include creative design processes, visual and contextual research, haute couture, collection development, and sustainable fashion. Drawing on experience in both academia and the fashion industry, he adopts a research-led, industry-oriented approach to design education.

His research centres on solution-based design, with a focus on inclusive and sustainable fashion, user-centric design, and innovation that addresses emerging social, cultural, and environmental challenges. He has contributed to curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaborations, and industry-driven projects that bridge academia, artisans, government organizations, and the fashion industry, while promoting sustainable and craft-based design practices.

Mr. Patel actively mentors students in design competitions, graduation projects, and industry engagements. He coordinated the first Geographical Indication (GI) Fashion Show during the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2023, showcasing the state's GI-recognized crafts through contemporary fashion. He continues to contribute to academic administration, collaborative initiatives, and experiential learning opportunities that strengthen design education and foster innovation, sustainability, and industry engagement.
