Introduction to the EPFO Project

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi undertook a design project for the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) aimed at developing a cohesive and dynamic visual identity for its sports events and associated ceremonial elements. The project was coordinated by Dr. Dolly Kumar, Associate Professor, and Dr. Tulika Mahanty, Associate Professor from NIFT. The project included the design of sports uniforms for EPFO to enhance their organizational identity and employee engagement. The project focused on creating uniforms that reflect the professionalism, energy, and pan-India presence of EPFO while ensuring comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. A key aspect of the project was the development of five distinct colourways representing the five EPFO zones, along with corresponding prototypes.
