Dr. Goutam Saha is an Associate Professor with the Department of Fashion Management Studies for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Bhubaneswar.  At present, he has around  26 years of experience in industry and academics. He has been teaching consumer behavior, research methodology  ,  sustainability and entrepreneurship-related subjects in NIFT for the last twelve years at UG and PG students.

His present research areas are primarily sustainable entrepreneurship and livelihood, local and informal economy, sustainability issues in the fashion industry, etc. In this area of research, he received an international award in Polimoda, Italy from the International Foundation For Fashion Technology Institutes. He contributed many chapters in the broader area of sustainability and entrepreneurship in different edited volumes published by Emerald, Bloomsbury, Springer, Elsevier, Macmillan, etc.His many research papers related to fashion were published in Scopus, EBSCO, Proquest indexed journals with considerably good impact factors

He also contributes  popular articles in English, Bengali, and Oriya for Business Today, Fibre to Fashion, Dumani Mail, Odisha Post, Ananda Bazar Patrika, Pratidin, etc based on his research work.
