Prof. (Dr.) Noopur Anand is Dean (Academics) and Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, with over 30 years of experience in academics, research and academic leadership. She leads the academic vision and strategic direction of NIFT across its campuses, guiding curriculum innovation, quality assurance, faculty development and interdisciplinary education aligned with emerging industry needs and global benchmarks. Her areas of expertise include apparel engineering, sizing science, human-centric product design, wearable technologies and fashion technology.

Her research focuses on pattern engineering, fit analysis, anthropometry, smart garments, functional apparel and sizing systems. She served as the Project Director and Principal Investigator of INDIAsize, the National Sizing Survey of India under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, leading India's first comprehensive national anthropometric survey. The project culminated in the development of the INDIAsize sizing system and digital platform (www.indiasize.in), a national digital resource supporting apparel design, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, research and product development. She holds a patent for the Self-Defence Wearable, has authored the book Adaptive Smart Maternity-wear, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, books and conference proceedings.

Prof. Anand actively mentors research scholars and works closely with industry, government and academia to advance innovation, sustainability, AI-enabled fashion education and future-ready design pedagogy, while promoting responsible, inclusive and globally relevant fashion education
