Assistant Professor, Fashion Management Studies (MFM)
Dr Jasmine S. Dixit is a faculty member at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi, where she serves since 2010. She specializes in marketing, luxury business management, retail merchandising, and sustainable consumption within the fashion sector. A fashion designer and marketing professional by training, she holds a PhD in Management from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, completed in 2021, with her doctoral research titled Green Branding – Impact on Consumer Buying Behaviour Towards Apparel Purchases.
Her research interests include sustainable development, green brands, craft studies, luxury business, and fashion retail merchandising. She contributes actively to curriculum development and anchors the Luxury Business Management subject. She served as the course coordinator of the Fashion Management department at the Delhi campus for three years and presently functions as the Unit-Incharge Student Development Activity Coordinator across all 20 NIFT campuses. She also strengthens global academic partnerships, having served as the nodal officer for international linkages with Australia and New Zealand, facilitating MoUs with RMIT, QUT, and Curtin University. In addition, she has held nodal roles for the Textile Institute and IIFTI.
Beyond her academic and administrative responsibilities, Dr Dixit enjoys travelling, shading and colouring, and creating easy, quick, healthy recipes. She remains closely involved in student engagement and previously led the Literary Club at NIFT Delhi, continuing to support creative expression, mentoring, and community-building within the institute.
