Mr. K. Anant Phani is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, specializing in Garment Manufacturing Technology. He joined NIFT in 2009 and has extensive experience in teaching, academic coordination, industry interaction, and apparel manufacturing.

He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to garment manufacturing, production technology, and apparel production systems. He also serves as the Link Regional Industry Coordinator, facilitating collaboration between NIFT and the regional apparel industry.

During his tenure at NIFT, he has undertaken several academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as Faculty Coordinator for the Foundation Programme and contributing to various institutional initiatives.

Mr. Phani has been associated with industry-oriented projects and has varied professional interests in garment production, manufacturing technology, production processes, and automation in the apparel industry. His work focuses on technological interventions that can enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and competitiveness in apparel manufacturing, while strengthening the interface between fashion education and industry.
