Jasmine is a textile designer with a deep passion for innovative textures, prints, and surfaces. Her work blends experimentation with responsible, sustainable practices, always aiming to create work that is meaningful and future-forward.

She was part of the first graduating batch of NIFT Panchkula, Textile Design (2020–2024), and completed her degree with honours. She was recognised with some of the institute’s highest distinctions: the NIFT Meritorious Award (1st Position), the Best Graduation Project (1st Position), and the Best Academic Performance (1st Position). Her time at NIFT not only strengthened her technical foundation but also exposed her to diverse crafts and techniques, giving her the confidence to collaborate fearlessly with international design teams, often as the youngest member.

Throughout her years at NIFT, Jasmine balanced academics with multiple internships to gain real industry experience. Her award-winning graduation project with Pozruh, created from leftover industrial textile scraps and transformed into wearable art using age-old hand embroideries on hemp fabric, earned media recognition for its sustainable approach.

Seeking global growth, Jasmine got shortlisted to one of the world’s leading and most competitive fashion schools, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York, where she pursued a dual degree in textiles. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honours and earned a place on the prestigious Dean’s List, making her one of the few Indian students to achieve this distinction. She also gained valuable experience working as a design intern for luxury home brands, contributing to collections for Karl Lagerfeld, DKNY, and Ted Baker in Irvington, NY. Additionally, she volunteered with the sustainability-focused organisation FabScrap in Brooklyn, USA.

Jasmine has also freelanced internationally, including with a Poland-based studio, and currently works full-time with an international fashion brand serving the USA and European markets. She continues to design hand-woven rugs as a freelancer, with some of her pieces placed at JW Marriott Hotels.

Today, Jasmine thrives in collaborative, creatively charged environments, with her love for travelling continually inspiring her to meet new people, learn each day, and evolve her practice in creating work that stands out while remaining rooted in thoughtful, responsible design.
