Mohana Priya R serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology. She has over 15 years of academic experience. Her primary areas of expertise include Apparel Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Production Technology and Textiles, where she is committed to equip students with strong theoretical knowledge and practical industry-oriented skills. She served as Centre Co-Ordinator for the Fashion Technology department from December ‘22 to December ’25.
She contributed to research through publications and actively engages in academic activities that promote innovation, quality improvement, and industry-relevant learning; continues to explore research opportunities to strengthen the integration of academia and the apparel industry.
Beyond academics, she is a member of the Institution of Engineers (India), reflecting her commitment to professional engagement within the textile community. She was one of the resource persons in the international FDP on "Sustainable Approaches in the Fashion Industry", organized by VIT Chennai. She is passionate about mentoring students, fostering industry interaction, training soft skills, and encouraging continuous learning; she is an active member of campus disciplinary committee, contributing to disciplined, and inclusive campus environment.
