Mr. Ashidh K. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the NIFT Kannur. He specializes in geometry, apparel manufacturing, operations research, industrial engineering, automation, supply chain management and artificial intelligence algorithms. With professional experience spanning academia and engineering, he teaches subjects including Advanced Apparel Manufacturing Management, AI in Fashion, Maintenance Management, Supply Chain Management, AutoCAD and Geometry. He emphasizes experiential learning by integrating industrial practices, analytical problem-solving, and technology-driven approaches into fashion technology education.

His research interests include operations research, production planning, assembly line balancing, manufacturing optimization, industrial automation, artificial intelligence applications in apparel manufacturing, and data-driven decision-making.

He completed his M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering after earning a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He published research on Gas Metal Arc Welding and actively develops academic resources, industry-oriented case studies, and analytical models for apparel manufacturing. He also actively participates in strengthening industry-academia collaboration and translate industrial practices into teaching and research.

Beyond academics, he actively contributes to admissions outreach, mentoring aspirants to NIFT Kannur. He encourages innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and industry engagement while promoting practical skills, professional ethics, lifelong learning, and collaborative problem-solving among students.
