Ms. Anooga Chandran is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur. She joined NIFT in 2021 and is currently serving as the Centre Coordinator, Fashion Design Department, since 2024.With over eleven years of teaching experience, she specializes in Advanced Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Children's Wear Design, and Fashion Management. She teaches fashion design courses using an experiential, industry-oriented approach.

Her research interests include fashion design pedagogy, apparel product development, children's wear, and sustainable fashion. She contributes to curriculum development, academic administration, and student mentoring. She completed projects on Retail Formats, Eco-friendly Baby Care Products, and Working Capital Management, and is a Certified Assessor under the SAMARTH Scheme of the Textile Committee.

Beyond academia, Ms. Anooga Chandran is the founder of the children's wear label "annbabe's designs". She actively mentors aspiring designers and promotes industry engagement, creative entrepreneurship, and practice-based learning in fashion education.
