Mumbai CampusNiteen Rangdal is an assistant professor in the Textile Design Department at NIFT Mumbai, bringing over 16 years of teaching experience in art and design education. He teaches Design Fundamentals, Drawing, Material Studies, Print Design Techniques, Elements of Textile Design, and Art and Design Aesthetics, with a strong emphasis on fostering creativity, visual thinking, and design sensitivity among students. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting and a Master of Fine Arts in Portraiture from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai.
An accomplished artist, he has exhibited extensively at prestigious national and regional platforms, including the Bombay Art Society, Sir J. J. School of Art, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Maharashtra State Art Exhibitions, Art Fiesta Jaipur, and the 64th National Exhibition of Art organised by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
His artistic practice has been recognised through several awards, including the Hindustan Pencil Award at the 131st Bombay Art Society Annual Show; the Best Entry Award for Portrait; Best Portrait Awards from Sir J. J. School of Art and the Art Society of India; and multiple landscape awards. His solo exhibitions include shows at Jahangir Art Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi, and Etc. Art Gallery, Mumbai.
