At NIFT Gandhinagar, I didn't just study design. I learned how to push myself into unfamiliar territory and stay there long enough for something meaningful to come out of it. The interdisciplinary studios exposed me to ways of thinking I wouldn't have found in a more siloed programme. That ability to hold discomfort, stay curious, and keep working is what I carry into every project.
After graduating in 2023, I joined Handpickd as their first and only designer. Handpickd is a farm-to-door fresh produce delivery app built on a zero-inventory model: no dark stores, no warehouses, sourced directly from farms overnight. The product logic is genuinely unlike anything standard e-commerce UX prepares you for. Weight-based billing, time-locked ordering windows, wallet-first flows: every design decision had constraints baked in, and it was my job to make all of that invisible to the user.
Three years into my career, I have gone from being the only designer in the room to leading and building the design team at Handpickd, establishing design culture from scratch. Early on I worked across everything: product, graphics, packaging, whatever the work needed. I learned to take full ownership of my work: to shape it, defend it, and see it through.
