Easternlight Zimik is a fashion designer, illustrator, and print designer whose creative world is shaped by music, poetry, and the philosophies of Japanese holistic fashion. A proud alumnus of the Knitwear Design Department at NIFT, New Delhi, he strives to create a strong visual and cultural voice in his work, where conceptual thought meets commercial relevance.

He has gained valuable experience working with some of India’s leading designers, including Gaurav Gupta and Manish Malhotra, which has strengthened his understanding of couture craftsmanship and contemporary Indian fashion. As the Founder of EAST, a Manipur craft based luxury apparel brand, he is committed to celebrating indigenous craftsmanship and bringing narratives from his cultural roots into a modern design language.

Currently, he serves as the Head Designer at ZINGRIN, Delhi, where he continues to explore the interplay of handcrafted textiles and modern silhouettes. His work was recently featured in the Indigenous Fashion Futures Installation at the India Art Fair in February 2025, marking him as a distinctive and emerging voice in India's evolving design landscape.
