About

Dr. Arnab Sen is an Associate Professor and Campus Coordinator, Textile Design, NIFT Bhopal. He joined the institute in 2008, and teaches subjects related to Textile Technology, Quality Assurance, Weaving and Technical Textiles in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He previously served the textile industry and worked with textile majors like Arvind Ltd., Nahar Group and Aditya Birla Group in the field of textile dyeing and quality assurance.

Dr. Arnab Sen has keen interest in research in the field of textile dyeing, and received his PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. His areas of expertise include yarn dyeing, application of natural dyes on textile fibres, spectrophotometry and evaluation of fabric quality. He also has interest in latest developments in technical textiles. He has several publications to his name in the field of textile dyeing in Scopus indexed, peer reviewed, UGC approved national and international journals.

Dr. Arnab Sen focusses on overall professional development of students through mentoring activities for making them ready for the industry. He also contributes to community engagement of artisans through craft cluster activities.
