1. Dr. Vishaka Agarwal is working with the Fashion Design Department at NIFT Bhopal. Currently holding the additional responsibility of Deputy Vigilance Officer, Bhopal, with an overall experience of over 23 years in Industry and Academia.

The areas of specialisation include Design, Product Development, Sustainable Design, Visual Merchandising, and Intellectual Property Rights.

2. Over the 18 years, she has contributed in various capacities to the administrative and academic development of the Institute. The various academic posts served are:

Centre Co-ordinator for Fashion Design Department (2023-2026): As the new department was being set up, establishment of a Pattern Making and Garment Construction Lab equipped with the required infrastructure was done successfully.

Coordinator, International and Domestic Linkages (2019-2024).

Centre Co-ordinator for Textile Design Department (2015-2018): Set up the new CAD lab in the department with new infrastructure and software installation.

Team Member of the New Curriculum Development for Textile Design Department.

Student Development Activity Co-ordinator (2012-2015).

Regional Industry Co-ordinator (2010-2013).

Nodal Officer, Academy of Design and Innovation, Mauritius.

Member of ICC Committee of NIFT (2025 till date).

3. Presented and published around 25 research papers in International Conferences and International Journals, including ICORD 2019 and ICORD 2025. The research papers were published as conference proceedings by Springer Publication. A research paper was also presented at the Cumulus 2015 Conference at IIT Mumbai in 2015.

4. She is a panel member and reviewer of research papers for the Journal of Intellectual Property Rights (JIPR), published by NISCAIR. She has reviewed several articles published in Journals and International Conferences.

5. Panel member for the “National Award” Selection Committee given by MP Hastshilp Evam Hathkargha Vikas Nigam Ltd., Bhopal.

6. Invited by the Staff Selection Commission as a panel member for the recruitment of Textile Designer by the Weavers Service Centre, Raipur.
