Debasish Mondal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He specializes in Industrial Design with expertise in ceramics, glass, product design, architecture, and fine arts. He has over five years of academic and industry experience and has been associated with NIFT since 2022.

Dr. Abhijit Mukherjee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He has over 25 years of professional experience spanning academia, research, industry, and academic administration. His expertise encompasses technical textiles, smart textiles, sustainable manufacturing, textile processing, apparel quality management, textile testing, fibre science, and technology-driven product development.

Aritra Roy Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He has over eight years of academic and professional experience in product design, lifestyle accessories, and design education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramic and Glass Design from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, and earned a Master of Design in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Visva-Bharati, focusing on craft-based design research.

Dr. Sabyasachi Sengupta is an Associate Professor and an alumnus (M. F.Tech.) of NIFT, Kolkata, and Visva Bharati, (Ph.D.). He is the recipient of National Scholarship and the current Chairperson of Leather Design Department. He has worked in the apparel industry, and associated with academics for over twenty-five years teaching in Design Disciplines - Apparel Design Studio, Ergonomics, Luxury Theory; Craft Practices, and Culture. He is particularly interested in Apparels; Fashion language and systems; Luxury Theory, and Ergonomics.

Mr. Ranjeet Kumar Jha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Knitwear Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Kolkata. He is specialised infashion design, fashion forecasting, computer-aided design (CAD), draping, and sustainable design research. In the department, he teaches Design Process, Pattern Making and Garment Construction, CLO 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. He joined NIFT in 2022.

Dr. Pompy Paul is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata. She specialises in media and communication studies, design research and cultural studies. She joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology in September 2022. Prior to which, she served as a Communication Specialist in CCHRC in Assam. Completing a Bachelor degree in Media Technology from St.

Mr. Jyoti Prakash Behera is an Associate Professor of Fashion Technology and specialises in Internet of Things (IOT), Web Technology, AI, IT application on Apparel industry. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses and leads research in IOT application on Garment Industry. He joined NIFT, Kolkata in 2003. He previously served as Centre Coordinator of BFT Programme from July 2011 to July 2014 , Student Development and Activity Coordinator (SDAC) Kolkata from January 2016 to January 2029 and Unit Incharge(ERP) from July 2020 to July2023.

Kunal Singha currently is an Assistant Professor and CC-TD at Department of Textile Design at NIFT, Kolkata. Earlier he joined NIFT-Patna in 2016 and also served as Centre Coordinator in TD Dept., NIFT-Patna from 2017-2020. Earlier he worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Textile Engineering, PIET, Kurukshetra University.

Dr. Sumantra Bakshi is Associated Professor in Knitwear Design department and specialises in Textile Material manufacturing and processing. He teaches textile technology, print design, textile dyeing & finishing, high performance textiles, sportswear, warp knitting technology and sustainability related subjects. His research interests are in advanced and sustainable textile fiber applications in fashion and functional textiles. He joined NIFT Kolkata in 2008. He has previously served the textile industry as a technocrat in Vardhman Textiles limited from 1999 to 2008.

Dr.Sougata Banerjee is presently working as an Associate Professor in NIFT Kolkata in the Department of Fashion Management Studies. He joined NIFT in November, 2005. He was entrusted with various academic administration responsibilities in his tenure. Ho competency area is Merchandising, Retailing, Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management etc. He is a PhD Supervisor too and under him 3 Scholars have completed their PhD. He executed various Central & State Government Projects on behalf of NIFT. He has around 70 research paper publications and presentations under his credit.
