Mr. Bikas Agrawal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology, NIFT Kolkata. Aligning with his Masters’ degree in Fashion Technology, he teaches Garment manufacturing related subjects like Industrial Engineering, Costing in Apparel Industry, Lean Management, Sustainability, Garment production Machineries etc. He joined NIFT as a faculty member in 2005 and he has also served as the Centre Coordinator of BFT from 2014-2017, Link RIC from 2020-2023 and currently is the RIC.
Tulika Saikia is a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata, from the Department of Knitwear Design.
She has pursued her Masters’s in Design Space from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from the same. Her association with Export and Buying House has helped her develop expertise in the field of
Mr. Shovit Dasgupta is currently associated as an assistant professor at the department of Fashion Design, NIFT Kolkata. His primary focus as an academician is on design process for fashion, with an interest in the contextual point of view of looking at fashion through the lens of history, society, and culture. He has a graduation in Fashion Design from NIFT Kolkata, and a Masters in Anthropology. He is currently pursuing his PhD from Visvabharati, Santiniketan on Craft Research.
Mr. Ramen Halder is an assistant professor in the Leather Design Department at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He is actively engaged in teaching a wide range of undergraduate courses, including Leather Design, Footwear Design, CAD/CAM for Leather Products and Footwear, Illustration, and Design Fundamentals. With a strong commitment to design education and innovation, his teaching integrates traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design practices, digital technologies, and user-centric approaches to product development.
Mr.Pari Jayaraman is an Associate Professor and Centre Coordinator - BFT and specializes in Garment Manufacturing Technology. His areas of teaching interests are Textiles, Merchandising, Quality Control, Garment Construction in BFT department and Fashion Basics, Creative Thinking Skills in Foundation Programme. He is a NIFT-Chennai alumnus (PG Diploma in Garment Manufacturing Technology) and has done MBA (Textile Management) from Anna University, Coimbatore, M.F.Tech (Bridge Programme), from NIFT-Chennai and UG in B.Tech (Textile Technology) from Anna University, Chennai.
Dr. Bharti Moitra is an Associate Professor with the Department of Fashion Management Studies, having over 26 years of teaching experience with NIFT, Kolkata, since 1999, post a brief stint with a leading international retail brand (Lacoste). She specializes in the areas of Marketing, Brand Management, Visual Merchandising and International Business.
Dr. Sreenanda Palit is an Associate Professor at NIFT Kolkata and specializes in fashion communication, styling, and craft-based research. She completed her B.Des in Fashion Design from NIFT and holds a PG Certificate in Fashion & Lifestyle Journalism from the London College of Fashion, along with a Master's in Journalism and Mass Communication. She trained in Fashion Styling at Domus Academy, Milan, before pursuing her PhD in sustainable craft practices.
Dr. Satyaki Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA) Department at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He specializes in fashion forecasting, accessory design, lifestyle product development, design research, and visual communication. With around 19 years of academic and industry experience, he contributes to teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and industry-oriented design education. He holds a PhD in Fashion Forecasting, a Master of Arts in Painting, and a B.Des in Accessory Design from NIFT.
Dr. Indranil Saha is an Assistant Professor in Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He is currently serving as the campus UI-ERP. He has more than eleven years of academic and professional experience across fashion, design, technology, and management education.
Dr. Ranjan Kumar Saha is a Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology and also serves as the Link-Chairperson of the department. He holds a PhD in Fashion Merchandising Management and specializes in apparel merchandising. With 29 years of total professional experience, including 24 years in academia, he brings extensive expertise in apparel merchandising, apparel costing, and garment manufacturing technology. He joined NIFT in 2005 at NIFT Mumbai, following professional experience in the garment industry as a Senior Manager in Production and Merchandising in India and abroad.
