Mr. Abhishek Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Gandhinagar. He specialises in the design and development of luxury products, lifestyle accessories, precious jewellery, fashion jewellery, decor and craft-based accessories. He brings several years of diverse industry experience to academia, having worked across a wide spectrum of domains in the design sector at various levels before transitioning into his academic career.

Dr. Raj Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar. He specializes in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management, Sales Management, and Fashion Business. With over fourteen years of academic, research, and industry experience, he contributes to teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and institutional activities.

Dr. Pranav Vora is a Professor with the Department of Fashion Technology, NIFT Gandhinagar and also holds additional charge of Joint Director and Controller of Examination at present. He is a textile engineer and has been working with NIFT since 2003. Prof. Vora is M.E., Ph.D. He has completed his Ph.D. in Technical Textiles from the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat. The project was mainly in three phases first was Diognestic study second was to conduct 4 training workshops to enhance skill sets of artisans as well as new design development and product diversification so that they can make products as per demand of contemporary market . the third phase was for exhibitions promotions etc . the project time line was 5 years .

The primary objective of the programme was to provide trainers associated with leather and rexine products with enhanced technical knowledge, practical skills, and contemporary design and production techniques. The training focused on strengthening their understanding of the domain and its core areas, enabling them to effectively transfer the acquired knowledge and skills to artisans and entrepreneurs.

Choosing NIFT for my master’s degree was an important step in my journey towards fashion and accessories. While I initially joined because of my interest in the field, what truly shaped my experience was the institute’s emphasis on research and independent learning. NIFT offered students the flexibility to explore their own interests while being part of a diverse and creative academic environment.
