Siddharth Aredath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra. He completed his undergraduate education in Fashion Design from NIFT Delhi and postgraduate studies in Communication Design from the IDC School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. With over a decade of experience across design practice and academia, he brings together perspectives from fashion, communication design, design education and strategic communication.
Ms. Nandita Kohli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design at NIFT Kangra. With over 09 years of academic experience, she has a strong academic foundation in Computer Science and Engineering, complemented by expertise in design education and emerging technologies.
Pavittar Punit Singh Mad?n is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra. He is an alumnus of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Before joining academics, he worked with Winsome Textile Industries and Mahavir Spinning Mills (a Vardhman Group Company) for more than two years. He has over six years of teaching experience prior to joining NIFT, Patna, where he served as Resource Centre In-Charge and Centre Coordinator for the Foundation Program.
Vinod Kumar Sharma serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the ?National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra, where he has taught since 2009. He imparts advanced knowledge on Draping and Pattern Making, utilizing a specialized blend of creative expertise and over eight years of professional experience in the fashion sector. He holds a diverse academic foundation, having earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Delhi University and a postgraduate degree in Anthropology.During his tenure as a student at NIFT, Mr.
Kamaljeet Singh serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT Kangra, where he also held responsibilities as the unit in charge of the project and media coordinator. Holding a master's degree in fashion technology, he brings over 20 years of professional and academic experience to his role. His core expertise spans industrial engineering, apparel manufacturing, plant setup, and maintenance management.
Present: Mr Sumit Kumar is an Assistant Professor with the department of Fashion Technology and specialises in quality control and assurance, social compliance and technical audits, operations management, and textile science areas. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Shiva A. Raja is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra. He joined the institute in 2022 and currently serves as the Continuing Education Programme Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Club Advisor, and Editor of Giri Samvad, the institute's annual Hindi magazine.
Ms. Akanksha Dayma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at NIFT Kangra, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Digital Marketing. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses while actively leading research on the application of AI in fashion business, consumer behaviour, and marketing strategy.
Dr. Aman Kumar is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Fashion Technology and presently handling Link- Campus Academic Coordinator, IT In-charge and Webmaster (Kangra). Passion for teaching and technology brought him to join NIFT in the year 2009 at NIFT Kangra. He specializes in IT, Enterprise Resource Planning for Fashion, Database Management and SQL, Application of Artificial Intelligence, E-commerce for Fashion Business and Website Design & Development.
Karthika Vijayan is an Assistant Professor in the Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories Department at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra. A graduate of NIFT Gandhinagar, she specializes in accessory design, jewellery, wearable accessories, and design education. Her professional experience includes studio teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, academic coordination, and facilitating hands-on design projects and workshops.
