Sidharth Mallick is an Assistant Professor with expertise in Textile Design, Design Management, and Appreciation of Indian Art. He has over decades of academic and professional experience in design education and specializes in textile design, craft documentation, material culture, and heritage-based design practices. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Design at Banasthali Vidyapith, where his research examines the evolution of Muslin from its historical origins to its contemporary revival in Khadi, with emphasis on fibre, yarn, and weaving.

Jayant Kumar is an Assistant professor with DFT, and specializes in production, quality and lean management. He teaches undergraduate and post graduate courses and work in the field of lean management and production related subjects. He joined the university in 2016. Before joining NIFT, he was working with garment manufacturing industry. He was the Head of the production at Gini and Jony Pvt Ltd at their Baddi division. He holds PG from NOU in MJMC and UG from NIFT-Hyderabad. He is currently pursuing his PhD.

Ms. Prerna Narayan is an Assistant Professor in Department of Fashion Design at NIFT Patna since 2021, with interest areas as, textiles, fashion, trend forecast, handicraft, design space, research, user-centered studies, retail studies, Visual Merchandising, social areas, etc. At NIFT, in the past, she had served significantly towards the role of SDAC and Campus Coordinator of Fashion Design, with currently holding the profile of Link Campus Coordinator of Fashion Design Dept.

Ms Puja Rani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Patna, specialising in Retail Visual Merchandising and Marketing. She brings over five years of professional experience in the retail industry, where she has served as a category manager and retail planner and in operations as a concept manager. She has been associated with NIFT since 2021.

Mohammad Shadab Sami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna, with academic and professional interests spanning fashion communication, visual communication, photography, media, digital culture, and contemporary creative practices. He is actively involved in teaching, academic planning, curriculum delivery, student mentoring, and institutional activities.

The two-year Master of Fashion Management programme, offered by the Department of Fashion Management Studies, develops professionals for the business, management and strategic dimensions of the fashion industry. The curriculum integrates fashion marketing, merchandising, buying, retailing, sourcing, supply chain management, business analytics, brand and strategic management, global marketing, luxury fashion and entrepreneurship.

The two-semester Foundation Programme forms the common starting point for undergraduate education at NIFT, bringing Design and Fashion Technology students together through a shared learning experience in Design and Technology fundamentals. The programme develops core skills in visualisation, communication, creative thinking, material exploration and digital tools, while introducing students to fashion, technology, sustainability and the wider design ecosystem.
