Dr. Rao is a Professor of Management Science & specializes in OB/HRM. He received his PhD from JNTUH. He teaches undergraduate, postgraduate & PhD courses and leads research in sustainable practices, OB/HRM. He joined NIFT in 2005 with 12 years of prior industry experience. He previously served as Head of FMS Department, Hyderabad from 2019 to 2022; CI&DL from 2011 to 2014; RIC from 2007 to 2013. 

Dr Itikyala Chakrapani is an Associate Professor of Fashion Management Studies who specialises in Entrepreneurship and Quantitative domains like Statistics, Business analytics, and Data Science. With around 29 years of combined industry, consultancy, and academic experience, he brings practical expertise to teaching the subjects in the Management, Design and Technology Programmes at both UG and PG levels.

He joined NIFT, Hyderabad, in 2005. He received his PhD in Management from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Dr. Shakeel Iqbal, Associate Professor at Department of Fashion Technology, National Institute of Fashion Technology Hyderabad, holds Ph.D degree in Textile Engineering (Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nanded) from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University,  Nanded (M.S). He did his Master’s in Textile Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara (Gujarat)

Ms. Jasti Pooja is in the Fashion Design Department and specializes in Fashion, Design, History and Pattern Making subject areas. She currently holds the role of Centre Coordinator.

Ms. P. S. Srrisha is an Assistant Professor and Campus Coordinator in the Department of Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, where she is also an alumnus of the Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories program. She teaches undergraduate students and specializes in Design Fundamentals, Design Process, Design Projects & Prototyping for Fashion and Home Accessories, Craft-Based Design Projects, Visual Merchandising, and Fashion Marketing.

Mr. K. Anant Phani is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, specializing in Garment Manufacturing Technology. He joined NIFT in 2009 and has extensive experience in teaching, academic coordination, industry interaction, and apparel manufacturing.

Priyadarshini Gopal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, with over 12 years of experience spanning academia and industry. Her expertise includes textile design, surface development, traditional Indian motifs, textile printing, craft practices, and contemporary textile design. She holds a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles from NIFT Hyderabad and an MA in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.

Ms. Prachi Bajaj is an Assistant Professor in the Knitwear Design Department at NIFT, with over eight years of industry experience spanning export, retail, and multinational organizations before transitioning to academia in 2013.

NIFT invites online applications from first-year students for the SARTHAK Financial Assistance Scheme 2026–27, based on annual parental income. Online applications will open on 1 September 2026, and the last date for submission is 30 September 2026. Eligible students are advised to complete the application within the stipulated timeline. Further stages include scrutiny, appeals, document verification, and final selection. Students are requested to carefully follow the application guidelines and timelines communicated through the official NIFT channels.
