Ms. Anooga Chandran is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur. She joined NIFT in 2021 and is currently serving as the Centre Coordinator, Fashion Design Department, since 2024.With over eleven years of teaching experience, she specializes in Advanced Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Children's Wear Design, and Fashion Management. She teaches fashion design courses using an experiential, industry-oriented approach.
Manuprasad Mathew is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at NIFT Kannur, with over a decade of teaching experience and prior industry background as a designer for brands including Nuon, Westport, Tokyo Talkies, and Noi. He holds a Master's in Design degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and a B.Sc. in Fashion Design from Mangalore University.
Mr. R. Prasanth Kolazhi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), where he has been serving since 2021. He is a fashion academician and industry professional with over 15 years of experience in fashion education and the fashion industry. Holding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Fashion, he specializes in value addition techniques, fashion styling, celebrity culture, material studies, and fashion basics.
Ezhilanban J J is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He specializes in 3D design, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), and animation, and brings over eight years of combined academic and professional experience to his teaching and creative practice. He completed his Master of Design (M.Des) in Space Design from NIFT Delhi in 2016. He teaches across visual and immersive media, guiding students in translating spatial and narrative ideas into engaging digital experiences.
Dr. Rupayan Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur, Kerala, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fabric Science, Technical Textiles, Yarn Manufacturing, Research Methodology, and Industrial Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering from IIT Delhi, where he also earned his M.Tech, and completed his B.Tech in Jute and Fibre Technology from the University of Calcutta.

Mr. Ashidh K. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the NIFT Kannur. He specializes in geometry, apparel manufacturing, operations research, industrial engineering, automation, supply chain management and artificial intelligence algorithms. With professional experience spanning academia and engineering, he teaches subjects including Advanced Apparel Manufacturing Management, AI in Fashion, Maintenance Management, Supply Chain Management, AutoCAD and Geometry.

Mohana Priya R serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology. She has over 15 years of academic experience. Her primary areas of expertise include Apparel Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Production Technology and Textiles, where she is committed to equip students with strong theoretical knowledge and practical industry-oriented skills. She served as Centre Co-Ordinator for the Fashion Technology department from December ‘22 to December ’25.
Mr. Nithin P is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT Kannur, Kerala. He joined NIFT Kannur as a Assistant Professor in 2021and has since built substantial academic and professional experience in the field of fashion technology. His areas of expertise include pattern making, garment construction, and apparel CAD. He teaches undergraduate courses in these core areas and guides students in developing practical, industry-relevant skills in garment design and production.
Ms. Shalu V. Nair serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Knitwear Design. She joins her alma mater in 2021, bringing with her valuable academic and professional experience following her graduation from NIFT Chennai in 2008. She specializes in pattern engineering and garment construction, with expertise in functional design development. Her teaching focuses on equipping students with strong technical knowledge and practical skills in knitwear design and product development.
Abhilash Balan P is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur. Presently He is Joint Director In Charge a With over 25 years of teaching experience, including 17 years at NIFT, he specializes in Fashion and Product Photography, Interface and Experience Design (UI/UX), Media and Communication, and Design Research. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Kannur University.
