Jyothirmai Singothu is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Textile Design Department.

She completed her M.Sc. in Textiles and Clothing from Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University.

She has researched the softening of Mestha fibre and is pursuing her Ph.D. from Avinashilingam University.

She had 8 years of teaching experience prior to joining NIFT and has been working with NIFT since 2008.

She has a total experience of 26 years in teaching young graduates in elite Government and Corporate institutions.

Ms. Manpreet Kushwaha is an assistant professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Hyderabad, where she brings together art, design, technology, and education to create meaningful learning experiences. With over 12 years of academic and professional experience, she specializes in product design, lifestyle accessories, design thinking, visualization, and user-centered design. Trained as an artist at Sir J.J. School of Art and later as a designer at NIFT Mumbai, she believes that great design emerges at the intersection of creativity, empathy, and innovation.

Dr. Prithwiraj Mal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad. He has extensive academic experience in textile science, textile processing, quality assurance, knitting, comfort, optimization, and innovative textiles. He holds a B.Sc. (Tech.) in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta, an M.Tech. in Textile Engineering from IIT Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University.

Bingi Varsha Akshara is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and a multidisciplinary designer and educator with expertise across apparel, fashion, accessory, jewellery, craft, and product design. With academic training in Accessory Design from NIFT Hyderabad and Apparel Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to design education.

Mr. Murthy Tatavarthy is an Associate Professor with the Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT Hyderabad. He is also UI ERP HO. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy. He specializes in Web Technologies, RDBMS, Data Analysis, AI and IOT. He is currently pursuing PhD in the area of Cloud Computing from GITAM, Visakhapatnam. Before joining NIFT, he worked as Software Tester at Sigma Solutions. He has contributed for the development of labs and infrastructure of Fashion Technology Department and in curriculum development of NIFT.

Prof. Rajani currently heads the Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT. She has more than 28 years of experience teaching in institutes of national and international repute. Joined NIFT in 2008 as an associate professor. Prior to NIFT, she has worked with reputed management institutes like Christ College Institute of Management, Bangalore and Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Kolkata. 

Priyadarshini is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at NIFT Hyderabad, with over 19 years of experience in academia. Her expertise includes sustainable production, supply chain, and quality management in the textile industry. Coming from a family of academicians, she developed a strong interest in teaching and contributes to the academic development of students through teaching, mentoring, and industry-oriented learning.

Ramakrishna Kongalla is an Assistant Professor in the Knitwear Design Department at the NIFT, Hyderabad. His areas of specialization include textile design and visual communication, with expertise in surface design, print design, automotive textiles, craft research, and craft-based design, Indian Textile heritage, integrated design project. Prior to joining NIFT, he worked as a Textile Designer in the automotive textiles industry and subsequently as a Visual Designer and User Interface Researcher.

T. Srivani has been teaching at NIFT for the past 21 years and has an overall work experience of 27 years. She coordinated Foundation Programme about 7.5 years at various levels. She teaches Textile Science, Wet Processing, Draping, Pattern Making and Garment Construction, Traditional Textiles, Crafts, Surface Design and Creative Material Exploration for UG and PG levels across various disciplines of NIFT. She mentored various student internships, research projects, developed curriculum, offered Faculty Training and taken up Inter Centre Teaching.

Uthaman Mangalathu Kochuraman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, where he has been a permanent faculty member since 2008. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Hyderabad. His teaching areas include Sketching and Rendering, Form Studies, Design Process, History and Philosophy of Design, and Foundation Courses in Design. He has also contributed to various academic programmes and initiatives at NIFT.
